“Don’t tell me women are not the stuff of heroes. I alone rode over the East Sea’s winds for ten thousand leagues. My poetic thoughts ever expand, like a sail between ocean and heaven.”
– Qui Jin (Capping Rhymes with Sir Ishii From Sun’s Root Land)

The Femme Rebelle (ENFJ) is a blend of social consciousness and a daring capacity for action. You might feel perfectly at home curling up to read the latest novel or a lively night out on the town with an entourage of friends, but if the historical conditions are right…you might end up being the one who in front of a crowd, on the eve of a rebellion, and with the inspiring words that go right to the heart of a righteous cause. Throughout history, the Femme Rebelle has gone against the tide to stand up for what’s right. Period. Your personality type brings a beautiful brain to match your unapologetic will for change. You have a strong moral compass and can’t sit by when injustice goes unchecked.

Boudica

But unlike similar personalities for historic women, the Femme Rebelle has a serious and grounded plan to make it right. You’re good at justifying your position and people listen to you because they sense that you’ll carry out your plan with a string ethical anchor. While others find excuses, you insist on action. What distinguishes you from the other fighting women of history? Femme Rebelles have a deep-rooted need to gain buy-in. You prefer to convince the world of the merits to your righteous cause rather than acting out unilaterally. You say what needs to be said, but you do so in your own words, a rare and powerful ability. Everyone knows about the streak of idealism that runs through your veins. You challenge the status quo and discover new dimensions beyond conventional wisdom. For you, big-picture issues are at stake, while everyone else seems to be obsessing over the small stuff. Many of the women of history who share your personality like to get involved on a political level or become outright revolutionaries.

The Femme Rebelle is also action-oriented, which makes you dangerous. You’ll do something. You have both imagination and patience. And because you empathize deeply with other people, both socially and personally, you’re surprisingly effective as making your ideas appealing to the masses. You’ll capture the hearts and minds of the public, who are the people you truly care about. You have an explosive blend of genuine compassion and fiery resolve. This inspires others to join your cause. Even your enemies know you’re sincere.

Qui Jin

Since you’re the whistle-blower and willing to act, you consciously or unconsciously sense the dangerous consequences of your call to action. This can cause you to become averse to confrontation in the early goings. Because of your empathy with others and desire for victory through reason, you run the risk of being indecisive and ineffective with half-measures. You may even take up another less consequential cause just to distract you or avoid your destiny. Don’t wait too long! You’re built for the good fight. You know what you must do. When you finally get going, the Femme rebelle is a sight to behold.

Fearless to end, Boudica and Eva Peron died young in their battles for change, while Qui Jin and Joan of Arc were both executed for their rebellion. The Insurgent Freethinker is willing to pay the price for their vision and their desire to liberate their people. I encourage you to go down a few rabbit holes and read up on all four of your all-stars.
