Entering the Labyrinth

The heroine will cross out of the world of home life and enter the exotic world of her own native culture. She will encounter a fantastic or uncensored view of human society. Although the culture truce has been violated, the heroine believes her entry in the labyrinth is only temporary or an act of curiosity. But she will come face to face with the seductive grandeur of her native culture, just as she will witness its powerful dark sides.

The heroine leaves home behind, sometimes followed by a sense of guilt at abandoning a set of expectations or responsibilities. Her departure is an act of courage and faith in herself at facing the unknown, even when unsupported. The heroine’s native culture surrounds her with mysterious and dangerous creatures who will not usually welcome her passing.
