The Broken Truce

Whereas the heroine broke the culture truce at home, she did so in secret. Now, the heroine will break the culture truce of her native culture in full view and disturb the order. The traditional barriers of the labyrinth and the cult of deception have failed to thwart her progess. At this juncture, the masked minotaur will finally be roused and he’ll direct the native culture to turn against the heroine. She will be hunted or outcast.

Many of the heroine’s allies will desert her when the truce is broken. Most will choose to defend the native culture over the heroine, even if they sympathize with her cause. Suddenly, the many confusing corridors of the labyrinth no longer represent puzzles to be solved, but dead ends that threaten to return the heroine to captivity. The more devastating the attack, the more a culture truce will appear to be the better option over the heroine’s personal freedom.
